1.6 Batman Design – Face Painting
Time Required for Lesson – 20 Minutes
Equipment and Supplies
- Sponge
- White & Red FX/ Tag paint
- Round Brush
- Detailer brush
- Black and White Paint
- Spray bottle

Load Your Angled Brush
1) Select a Your Dark Blue Split cake.
2) Load up your angled brush.
3) The dark color pointing up towards the hair line.
4) Starting one width of the brush above the eyebrow, drag the colour from the middle of the one eyebrow to the middle of the other.

Learn to Angulate
1)From where the first line ends, make the first batman ear by using the thin bit of the brush.
2) Simply rest it in place, slide it upwards the width of the angle brush.
3) Curve it around to end in the outer eye corner.
4) Repeat on the other side.

Lines
1) Fill in any gaps and blend with the sponge if the blue mask is looking patchy.
2) Starting from one ear to the other, thin to thick to thin brush stroke.

And more lines
1) All inner lines to be thin. All outer lines to be thin – thick – thin for extra texture.
2) Eye brows start below the actual eyebrow of your human and then gradually raise it above the eye brow and tuck it into the corner of the eye.

Add Highlights with White
1) Highlights of light blue to be added over the dark blue sections to give it the appearance that the light is catching the design and to break up any heavy looking sections.
2) Alternatively, Super hero stencils with white.
